After many winter nights hibernating in sheds or garages busy generating heat on their turbos, this weekend see’s the 2010 Road and Time-trial season kick-off.
Welland Valley CC will have competitors in bunch races at Milton Keynes Bowl and closure to the NCRA H’cap Road Races at Middleton on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday it is the turn of the ‘testers’ to grab the headlines as a strong contingent of riders contest the Brian Charounneau, 20m Time Trial starting Islip village, near Thrapston on Sunday morning.
If you fancy a more leisurely ride the Leics and Rutland CTC are organising the David Sulley Challenge Ride – 100, 70, 50 kilometres and 20 mils circular routes stating from Morrisons in Lutterworth on Sunday.
David was a fantastic servant to club Welland Valley in his capacity as time-keeper and committee member.
