An afternoon of cornering and sprinting around a traffic free track. A short sharp race will also take place :O)
JUNE
Saturday 5th >
Whizz Kids Mowsley Downhill Challenge
2.00pm Saddington Road, Mowsley
A new event for 2010 – The Mowsley Downhill Challenge is suitable for all Whizz Kids. It will be an explosive event with each rider getting two runs.
The event is with the kind permission of the Haines Family
Saturday 12th >
Market Harborough Carnival
11.45 am Burnmill Road, Market Harborough.
The Carnival Parade will set off at midday.
It will travel down the High Street, and turn into Coventry Road, heading out of town. It will then go south down Farndon Road, along Welland Park Road, into Northampton Road and will finish at the entrance to Symington's Recreation.
The Whizz Kids will be riding in the parade promoting the cycling club and National Bike Week.
Saturday 26th >
Whizz Kids Grass Track Extravaganza.
2.00pm Welland Grass Tennis Courts
After last years inaugural event the GTX was considered by the Whizz Kids to be one of the best sessions held last year.
The format will be mixed teams competing in Olympic Track Cycling disciplines with a Whizz Kids spin :O)
Great fun, great racing and a fantastic experience.
JULY
Saturday 10th >
2010 Whizz Kids Tour de Welland
2.00pm Husbands Bosworth Gliding Club,
Nr Husbands Bosworth
As the Tour de France is up to full speed the Whizz Kids will participate in the 4th edition of the Tour de Welland. The Whizz Kids will sample the delights of a new closed road farmland circuit adjacent to the Husbands Bosworth Gliding Club.
Saturday 24th >
Whizz Kids Skills Session.
2.00pm Welland Park Tennis Courts.
After a hectic period of racing the Whizz Kids will return to Welland Park for the traditional British Cycling Go-Ride Skills session.
Sunday 25th >
Naseby Family Ride
2.00pm > Naseby Village Hall
Cheer on local riders in the Duncan Murray Wines RR
