The second race of the Northants Cycle Racing Association Summer Handicap Series was held over 3 laps of the 10 mile Middleton Circuit on Tuesday evening, June 8th.
On a wet and grit strewn course there were lots of punctures but there were still plenty of riders left to contest a hectic bunch sprint for the finish.
The winner, in 1.16.35, was Alan West of 45 Road Club, improving on his second position of last week. He was closely followed by Jamie Caldwell of St Ives CC, Nick Horder of Welland Valley CC, Leighton Davies of Melton Olympic CC, Ian Wild of Peterborough CC, Mitchell James of Welland Valley CC, Scott McCann of the host club, Rockingham Forest Wheelers, Rob Jacks of Welland Valley CC, Tom Caldwell of St Ives CC with John (Tanner) Taylor of Welland Valley CC making up the top ten.
