Thursday 24th June
Because of roadworks the 4th round of the Northants Cycle Racing Association Summer Handicap Series on Thursday 24th June was moved, to the great relief of the riders, from the tough Naseby circuit to three laps of the more benign Middleton valley circuit.
A triumph of handicapping produced a bunch finish of 39 riders, won by scratch rider James Cambridge of Team I Ride in 1.16.02. In second place was Ian Wild of Peterborough CC, followed by Christiaan Smith of Team Zappi's, Adam Fisher of Cambridge CC, Kev Hardwick of Wootton Tri Club, Tom Sexton of Welland Valley CC, Matthew Smith, a BC Private Member, Stuart Lindsey of St Ives CC, Rob Jacks of Welland Valley CC, then 30 more riders too close to separate!
Another great WVCC promotion on behalf of the NCRA. Many thanks to club members/friends and Rockingham Forest Whs for their support with use of the clubroom.
