On Wednesday 7th July the Welland Valley CC contest the interclub challenge with Rockingham Forest Wheelers.
It is the turn of the Rocko to host the prestigious event that dates back to the days when racers used to carry their spare tire and drink from water fountains at the roadside.
The first rider to hear 5, 4,3,2,1 will be at 19.00hrs.
The start is halfway around the circuit outside Medbourne on the road from Drayton - around 5 miles from the HQ so please allow plenty of time (25 miles is 2 1/2 circuits of the Middleton - Bringhurst - Drayton - Medbourne - Ashley - Middleton course).
The rolling circuit will require the riders to display great agility and sheer strength as the as the riders complete 2.5 laps.
It is important that there is a super strong representation as the Interclub Challenge is decided on the first ten riders!
