Club Races
Starting next Tuesday 24th August, and for four Tuesday evenings
As last year except new for 2010 to increase the competition:-
· A White Jersey competition for the highest placed under 18 y/o.
· Two separate 3 lap races to cater for different ability levels
· Sprint points available down to 8th place (last year down to 5th)
In more detail
Four separate races:-
Race A for the quick guys (5 laps)
Race B for medium speed riders (4 laps)
Race C for slower, less experienced riders (3 laps)
Race D for novice, or even less experienced riders (3 laps)
The fast group will start first, then the medium speed group a minute or so later followed by the first of the 3 lappers a minute or so after that and finally the novice group off last.
After the first week any riders who are clearly in the wrong group will be promoted or demoted as appropriate in best interests of fair competition.
Green Jersey Competition
There will be a sprint for points every time the start/finish line is crossed. Points will be awarded to the first eight riders across the line with double points on the last lap of each of the races. The number of points to be won varies between the three different length races in such a way that everyone will compete equally regardless of which race they are in. Points earned in all four races will be aggregated to find the King (or Queen) of Bruntingthorpe 2010.
White Jersey Competition
The points earned in the sprints will be used to find the best performance by an under 18 year old.
As in previous years, for insurance reasons the event is only available to
First Claim members.

Races will start at 6:45pm approx.
Signing on will close at 6:30pm
