Welland Valley Cycling Club is one of the biggest cycling clubs in the East Midlands, but retains a friendly, family feel.
Based in Market Harborough, the club draws members from across south Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire.
With around 200 adult riders and more than 100 juniors (Whizz Kids), Welland Valley stages road, circuit and cyclo-cross races; time trials and mountain bike events throughout the year. Take a look at our events calendar for a full view of what's on, or check out our results page for details of our yearly club championship events.
The club also organises weekly club runs (at a variety of speeds, from the steady to the bonkers), chain gangs, sportives, track sessions and regular training / skills sessions. See our rides page for more info.
Welland Valley CC caters for all ages, shapes, sizes, abilities and ambitions. If you like two wheels and pedal power, then you will fit in here!
Some members compete at regional, national and international level; while others just want to ride with like-minded individuals on a sunny Sunday morning.
Whizz Kids is the accredited local promoter of British Cycling’s ‘Go-Ride’ programme, which is designed to encourage young riders to gain their key cycling skills in a safe and enjoyable environment and to introduce them to competitive cycling.

Welland Valley Cycling Club is also a Clubmark accredited club. We have qualified coaches specialising in particular areas of cycling. An important part of our Whizz Kids programme is the development of cycling skills, as well as giving young people an opportunity to sample cycle racing.
Membership is just £15 per year (easily recouped via a discount scheme with top local bike shop George Hall Cycles).
