Event to be repeated same weekend next year

Last year:

  • 130 entries, over 12000km ridden over quiet country lanes, some of the best scenery in SE Leics, N Northants and Rutland. 50k attracted many first-time eventers, the 160k provided a challenge for more experienced cyclists – all felt a real sense of achievement.
  • Weight loss: 12000k @ 12kph = 1000hrs = 60000mins @ 12cals/min = 720000cals = 200lb of body fat lost!
  • £500 raised for the British Heart Foundation and to support cycling activities for young people in the area.
  • Local riders and riders from as far a field as Kent and Cheshire commented on the beauty of the area and the steepness of the hills!

Welland Valley Cycle Club is thriving, providing a wide range of cycling activities for over 120 members. Guests and new members are welcome.

Organised: under the auspices of Welland Valley Cycle Club
