Volunteers required for Duncan Murray Wines RR

Dear All

For many years Welland Valley CC has organised the Duncan Murray Wines road races, sponsored by club member Duncan Murray’s wine business in Market Harborough.

This is one of the most prestigious events the club hosts - notably as it includes a round of the national Womens Team Series.

This year we will be running two races from Naseby Village Hall, both in the morning of Sunday 23 July 2017. There will be the Women’s race and a Mens race run simultaneously.

We need volunteers in order to ensure that the races take place!

In previous years, this has been the hardest event in the Club’s calendar for which to find sufficient volunteers.

As with all events, though, without sufficient volunteers and support, the races cannot take place.

I am keen to get a list of people drawn up as soon as possible for the day – so we can be certain that the races can run safely.

So, if you – or someone you know – are available to help on the morning of Sunday 23 July, do please let me know. Most roles would require you to be around from a little before 9.00 to around noon.

The Duncan Murray Wines races are an important part of Welland Valley’s support for local cycling, so if you can spare the time to help, do please let me know!

Many thanks,

Stuart

PS: Dave Birch has kindly volunteered to take over the Lead Organiser duties
